How Rebecca's Ongoing Therapy Service Works
I generally recommend, when possible, beginning therapy at a weekly or bi-weekly (every other week) frequency for the first couple of months.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes. If you're looking for a longer or more in-depth session, we can explore options together.
This frequency allows for continuity, momentum, and depth as we begin to understand your patterns and work more directly with what’s emerging.
As you start to notice shifts or improvements, many clients choose to space sessions out to bi-weekly or monthly, depending on their needs and preferences. Others continue at a more frequent cadence longer-term, as they find it offers more consistent support and integration.
My Therapeutic Approach
I draw from a range of depth-oriented and evidence-based approaches to support meaningful, lasting change:
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
Supporting emotional awareness, processing, and transformation.
Psychodynamic & Psychoanalytic Therapy
Exploring unconscious patterns, early relational experiences, and attachment dynamics—and how these shape your relationships, worldview, and nervous system.
Schema Therapy
Integrating cognitive-behavioural and depth approaches to identify and shift longstanding patterns that influence how you think, feel, and relate.
Jungian & Archetypal Approaches
Working with the symbolic and unconscious through shadow work, dream exploration, active imagination, and creative practices. This may also include exploration of archetypal and personality frameworks such as the Enneagram and MBTI.
Dream Analysis
Using dreams as a pathway into the unconscious to deepen insight, integration, and personal meaning.
Brain-Body & Experiential Therapies
In addition to talk-based approaches, I offer integrative mind-body therapies that support deeper emotional and nervous system processing:
Brainspotting & Expansion Brainspotting
A brain-body approach that supports the processing of trauma, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem challenges.
Also available as a focused three-hour Therapy Intensive for more concentrated work.
Clinical Counselling Hypnotherapy (Inner Child Focus)
A depth-oriented hypnotherapy approach that supports healing at the level of emotional imprinting, including inner child work and trauma integration.
Therapy Intensives
A place to start before ongoing therapy
You can start with ongoing therapy, 50-minute sessions right away. Alternatively, you can begin with a Therapy Intensive — 80-minute, immersive extended sessions designed to create deeper momentum from the start, with a focused exploration in one of these two areas:
- The Inner Reset Therapy Intensive — for understanding internal patterns such as anxiety, self-criticism, emptiness, and emotional overwhelm, while building insight, regulation, and a stronger internal foundation.
- The Relational Reset Therapy Intensive — for exploring relationship patterns (past and present), including attachment dynamics, boundaries, people-pleasing, and recurring interpersonal struggles, so you can begin to show up differently in connection with others.
Both options are grounded in depth-oriented work and can be tailored to your goals.
Some clients choose to begin with an intensive to accelerate clarity and then transition into ongoing therapy for continued integration and support, while others prefer to start steadily with weekly sessions. Some find a therapy intensive alone feels sufficient for their therapeutic goals.
